Plan the next interview
Create a round, connect it to a role and materials, and keep preparation notes separate from information used for cues.
An interview plan records a particular round. The saved role holds its company, job description and selected materials. This lets you prepare several rounds for the same role without treating every appointment as a new job application.
Create a plan
Section titled “Create a plan”- Open Interview plans and select New plan.
- Give the round a useful name, such as “Backend engineer, technical round”. Date and time are optional.
- Check the timezone displayed beside the time field. Enter the meeting time in that timezone. If an invitation uses another timezone, convert it before saving.
- Under Role & materials, choose a saved role or create one with the company, position and job description.
- Select the cue language and ready materials. Use Focus for this role for something the assistant should pay attention to.
- Select Save plan. Check the saved round name, date and role before leaving.
Saving a time does not send a calendar invitation, join the meeting or start audio capture. Keep the original meeting invitation for its link and timezone details.
Put information in the right place
Section titled “Put information in the right place”| Field | What it is for | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Preparation notes | Your own arrangements | Interviewer name, meeting link, questions to ask |
| Focus for this role | Guidance to consider when preparing cues | Explain my contribution to incident response; avoid unsupported metrics |
| Selected materials | Facts the assistant can refer to | Submitted resume, project notes, job description |
| Cue language | Language of suggestions | English, Chinese or follow the conversation |
Preparation notes are not automatically sent as interview knowledge. If the assistant needs a fact, put it in the role’s materials or focus field. Meeting links usually belong in your private planning notes.
Reuse a role carefully
Section titled “Reuse a role carefully”Several plans can refer to one saved role. Changing that role’s description or materials affects future preparation using that role. Check the other rounds before editing shared information. Create a separate role when applying to a different position with different requirements.
You can save a plan before uploading a resume. Return to Materials, wait until the file is ready, then select it in the plan. A saved appointment alone does not mean its materials or audio have been checked.
Start, postpone or finish a round
Section titled “Start, postpone or finish a round”Open the plan and choose Check sound & start. You will still select audio sources and explicitly start the interview. Opening the setup page does not start a paid interview.
To postpone, edit the saved time. Use the plan’s status to mark it planned, completed or cancelled. A cancelled plan does not cancel an employer’s invitation. Deleting a plan removes that plan; manage saved interview records separately in Interview history.
Avoid overwriting changes from another tab
Section titled “Avoid overwriting changes from another tab”If OfferWoo says the plan changed elsewhere, reopen the latest version before saving again. Copy any unsaved notes you need to keep into a private document first, then compare them with the saved plan. Do not keep submitting an older form.
For a first round, a practical preparation check is a verified resume, one relevant project, the role description and tested audio. Add more material when it answers a specific likely question, rather than selecting every file you own.
